Just planning a couple of days backpacking in Wales with Alan.
We covered so much of Wales on the Cambrian Way in 2007 (including lots of places we do want to go back to) that it’s getting tricky finding an unvisited area.
I know every square mile has its own unique character, but the feeling of driving through the lanes and seeing a hill or range for the first time is special for all walkers. Especially if you know you will be spending the night up there. I can still remember the first time I set eyes on Cadair Idris, the Rhinogs and even the Sugar Loaf.
Top three choices at the moment are:
- Arans
- Arenigs
- Berwyns
I’m in route finding mode at the moment and as it’s likely to be our only trip this year, I want to make sure it’s a beaut. Any suggestions would be gratefully received :)
