Black Mountain from Glyntawe

rivercrossing

I managed to get out with Alan yesterday. It's the first time we have been able to get together for ages and as we are both seasoned wet weather walkers, we decided that we would go whatever the weather.

And what weather we had.

‘Knock you off your feet’ gusts, horizontal bullet-like rain, bright sunshine, zero viz and back to bright sunshine. The wind made the fantastic ridge walk just a little bit scary!

It was great to catch up and I'm looking forward to more over the autumn and winter.

Here's the route and if you fancy trying it, it involves a couple of river crossings.
